Israel’s relationship with several longtime European allies is coming under growing strain. U.S.-Iran Strikes Intensify as Russia Pledges Support for Tehran

U.S. forces targeted Iranian radar systems and mine-laying capabilities along the country’s southern coast. Iran responded with attacks against U.S. bases in Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait. As tensions escalated, Russian President Vladimir Putin pledged continued “necessary assistance” to Tehran, including essential goods, despite growing U.S. secondary sanctions pressure on countries and companies that continue trading with Iran. The renewed fighting and Moscow’s support for Tehran add another layer of uncertainty to an already volatile regional security environment.
