Employee of the Month

Matthew W.
Denton, TX

On June 20th, a piece of equipment malfunctioned and exploded, causing a sudden and dangerous situation. Several contractors suffered serious injuries, including second- and third-degree burns, and chaos quickly unfolded. Matthew was on duty nearby when he heard the explosion and, without hesitation, responded to the scene.

Relying on his background as a certified EMT, Matthew quickly assessed the situation, identified the most critical injuries, and began triaging the injured. He retrieved his personal medical kit and administered first aid—applying burn cream, bandages, and doing what he could to keep the patients calm and stable until emergency medical services arrived. His ability to act swiftly and decisively helped bring order to a very chaotic scene.

Throughout the incident, Matthew kept in close contact with his team, providing real-time updates to both TriCorps leadership and the client. He also documented the scene and damage to assist with follow-up and coordination. Thanks to his training, professionalism, and steady presence, multiple individuals received immediate care in a moment where every second counted.

Matthew’s actions reflect the highest standards of service and commitment. His quick thinking, calm under pressure, and compassion made a powerful impact that day. We’re incredibly proud to have him as part of the TriCorps team—thank you, Matthew, for leading by example.
