Southeast Texas, including Houston and Galveston, faces two days of elevated excessive rainfall risk. Forecast totals of 3–5 inches are expected along a narrow corridor, with isolated amounts above 7 inches possible. Flash flooding and additional Flood Watches could develop as the system moves inland.

A powerful flash flood swept through Bright Angel Canyon at Grand Canyon National Park, triggering evacuations and extensive infrastructure damage. Authorities evacuated 62 hikers and visitors, while one person was confirmed dead near Crystal Rapids along the Colorado River. Approximately 15 others remain unaccounted for. Nearly all footbridges over Bright Angel Creek were destroyed, and damage to the Transcanyon Waterline prompted Stage 4 water restrictions and the closure of overnight lodging.
