TriCorps’ Active Shooter Training

Active shooter incidents are becoming more and more frequent in the places we work, learn, worship, shop, and socialize, making it more critical than ever to be prepared.

According to the FBI, 69% of active shooter incidents are over in under 5 minutes, with the average lasting 4.5 minutes. The average police response time to active shooter incidents is six minutes. On average, one person is shot every 15 seconds.

Additionally, research that suggests that when waiting on law enforcement to respond and handle a crisis the average casualty count is 14, but when people are able to take immediate action, the casualties average 2.5.

TriCorps provides active shooter training classes that incorporate a foundation of education on workplace violence indicators, and de-escalation techniques, as well as the deadliest situation – active shooter. These courses are hands-on to better equip your employees for whatever situation may arise.

TriCorps can present active shooter training classes to large or small groups. Our trainers’ extensive knowledge and skills allow us to tailor our presentation to meet the needs of your team and integrate your specific emergency action plan.

After TriCorps’ active shooter training course, your employees will:

  • Know actions to take to prevent and prepare for potential active shooter incidents.

In training for active shooter situations, TriCorps trains to remain calm and exercise one of three options: Run, hide, or fight.
